A Cohesive Coming Together
My newly inspired work, which is not happening fast enough due to time constraints, is developing along nicely. I am feeling that it is a lot more cohesive, and a lot happier.
It will be lovely to see what reaction I receive at my next market, which is Mathilda's on 22nd August, and then Modish Market 28th August.
My original "Tree Top House" drawing has developed into 4 products now. I would love to do a million more, but baby steps I think might be some trusty advise to myself
I would love to know what you think, and should I add (in the future) or delete anything?
Below is my newest cushion.

Today's Recipe - Ham and Corn Muffins
I am struggling with Hudson's eating at the moment
All of a sudden he isn't eating anything I put in front of him, & believe me it's nothing he has never tasted before. If he could live on fish fingers & tomato sauce I think he would.
I am on a mission to get nutrients into him in to other disguised ways. So far mashed potato is working well with a white veggie, peeled zucchini or cauliflower, blended through it.

Sunday I made Ham and Corn Muffins. Unfortunately again he didn't eat them. I popped them in a cupcake patty pan & said they were cake.
NOPE!! He isn't a fool, I know he was wondering where the 'sweetness' was.
Oh well I really enjoyed, them & somebody else may find them a winner.
Now they are actually Corn & Bacon Muffins but I ham instead.
Ingredients
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1tblsp baking powder
1 cup creamed corn
1 cup grated cheese
2 rashers bacon, cooked & chopped (I just chopped up a few slices of Virginian ham)
Method
* Make egg up to 3/4 cup of water (for those like me who wasn't sure what this was, it's an egg in a 3/4 cup & then fill cup with water)
* Add remaining ingredients & mix until combined
* Spoon in prepared muffin pan & bake at 200'C for 15-20 mins.

What do you think of my NEW decorative wall plates?
The new project I started and mentioned here with only a snippet of a sneak peak, I am happy to say has gone well and nearly ready for launch.
I also mentioned that I kind buggered it up here, but am so glad that is behind me.
I am making more use of the original drawings I do, which I hope to be an advantage sales wise. Since finding a way to have them printed on fabric, I feel like a whole new world has opened up. The fabric has such a different feel to card stock, and lots of opportunity for further
I am making more use of the original drawings I do, which I hope to be an advantage sales wise. Since finding a way to have them printed on fabric, I feel like a whole new world has opened up. The fabric has such a different feel to card stock, and lots of opportunity for further
non paper embellishments. Yep more flooding ideas!!
I know all of us know the feeling of when you find something new, or have mastered a new project, it's just exhilarating.
I am exploring the direction of home decor, and my new project is a series of decorative wall plates. Another way of hanging a traditional piece of framed artwork. Each design is printed on fabric, an mounted on some woodstock and hung. Some will be hung together and some individually. I am still working out those areas.
I would love to know what you think?

New Cushion Line
OMG.....I am so exited!!
I have finally managed to get my designs printed on cotton, ready to be used in whatever way I wish. This is such a huge leap for me creatively as I have been so very frustrated trying to have this done.
My first design is my "Owl On A Teacup" which has evolved from a multi media collage I created, into a 5'x7" print, a magnetic bookmark. Now a cushion cover, to date this is my favourite item. As you can imagine I have quite a few other designs on the go, that I will be looking forward to sharing, so stay tuned....

Creative BUGGER up!!
I am sure I am not the only one to admit this, but the sneak peak project so eagerly mentioned here the other day is completely BUGGERED UP!!
Have you started a new project with so much excitement, energy bubbling away, anticipation to get started, and the thrill of actually getting your hands on this baby, & WAHH WAHH!!
Ahhh the frustration. I thought I had planned enough, and it wouldn't take me more than a go or two to perfect, boy was I wrong. My issue is my gluing, I thought it would dry nice an evenly but had left my print completely streak.
Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Back to the drawing board.

A Girl In Paris - NEW 5x7 Print
I am still drawing a bit lately. This is my latest piece.
A Girl In Paris
I think deep down this is an illustration of me, and where I would love to be right now.

Beep Beep - Point & Shoot
Poor Charlotte....this is the beginning of many things my poor baby doll will have to endure, as she grows up with big brother Hudson.
This car is electric and is Hudson's most treasured possession. He is amazing at only 2 and a bit years old, the way he can steer and control it.
Yesterday he was insistent baby sister join him in the drive, and boy did it brighten up his world. He wasn't impressed that daddy had to hold her, but finally accepted the fact.
This was one of the most amusing things I have witnessed for a while, the tears streaming down my face from laughing were uncontrollable. I am surprised I got these shots.
What else should I expect big brothers to ask of their little sisters?? MMM time will tell.

New Turtle Collage
I have just finished my next Collage. The last time you saw it, it was in sketch form when I blogged about it here, if you need your memory jogged.
A combination of watercolour and acrylic paint with, and my new turtle, who is yet to be named due to lack of imagination at present, is made up of fabric.
She is basically like one of my transfers but obviously not made for ironing!
Something new...I made some of my own decorative paper with the words smile, giggle, fun, enjoy, happiness printed, and they have all been stitched down my hand.

Point & Shoot - These Boots Are Made For Walking
All mums are very aware of the sound of complete silence when you have a toddler in the house. It's not the sound of piece & quiet we all wish for, it's more like MMMMM it's to damn quiet, where in the hell are they?
Well I was thinking that very thought the other day, so I tip toed around looking from room to room, & Hudson was no where to be seen. Then I found him....Inside my walk in wardrobe putting on my very old, and grotty knock off ugg boots.
The joy & happiness in his face was beautiful, so I quickly ran off to grab the camera so I could point & shoot. He was struggling to walk as he made his way out of my bedroom, the boots pointed inwards & far too big, but the look of determination, blended with his big smile was very impressive & I couldn't bare to take them off him.
Who would have thought my old, well worn boots were so exciting.
What have you found you suddenly silent angel up to?

Twilight - Eclipse
My verdict on the must see file Eclipse is here....
I LOVED IT!!
It was everything and more, there was action, some suspense, and romance. Not too much romance but just enough to keep me waiting for the anticipated wedding soon to come.
I am definitely a team Edward gal.
His old school ways of thought are so romantic and captivating, and he draws me in deeper and deeper to his character.
As hot as Jacob is, he seems so selfish, and immature, but then again he is a teenager.
How can you compare with Edward being over 100 years young, and a tad more worldly.
A great movie and can not wait for Breaking Dawn.

Sooooo excited
I am soooo excited, Dan & I are off to the cinema's tonight. We are going for dinner first, and our show is at 8.30pm. I was told tickets were hard to get but I had no problem, I just bought them online. Maybe because we aren't going Gold Class?
Babysitter is ready to go, thanks mum & dad.
Dinner for Hudson, planned & prepared.
Expressed milk for Charlotte.
I am a big Twilight fan, & I loved the first 2 movies, but they will never compare to the books. From what I have heard from reviews so far, this is the stand out of the 3 of them.
How exciting........ I will keep you posted on what I think.
So when are you going? Or have you? What did you think?

I have had my eye on this delicious birdhouse from the gorgeous brand 'Nog n Piep'.
I desperately wanted one, but wanted to wait for Charlotte to be born to decide what I colour wanted. Here is my choice which is now in my pocession.
This item is one of many yummy designs by the lovely Carmilla, be sure to have a look at her website, as there are so many other beautiful items as well.
You can also read a fab interview the Nog n Piep brand at Modish Market's blog.
