New Foxy Designs

I have a couple of new designs to share with you.
Foxes are still loitering around, so felt the need to create some of my own. I actually really loved drawing these, so much cuteness & fun.
Both are available in my shop.

Have a beautiful weekend.

New mini collection called Pretty Kitty

I have just released today my new mini collection called Pretty Kitty. Each piece has such pretty & playful feel to it. With the kitty cat coloured in a soft grey I had to surround her in lots of pink as the colours look beautiful together. I can't help but draw flowers, it's one of those pretty additions I add to so many pieces of my artwork. What can I say flowers make me smile. I created this collection for little girls who love their kitty cats.

Buy adding any of the items, or all of them for that matter will make your little girl bedroom feel sweet & so very pretty. There is nothing like loveliness in a bedroom.

As you can see the cushion & clock are personalised, but if you don't want a name thats fine jut write none in the box. The wall prints ca be purchased individually or as a gorgeous collection.

Email me with any queries, I'd love to hear from you...Stay in touch.

Much loved flower pod pattern

I have been playing around the with below design for a couple of weeks not really sure where to go or what to do with it. I drew it originally about 6 months ago while doing an art class with Lila Rogers. You can see the original work here.

I always knew they would be used somehow, but until last week I wasn't sure. After a bit of recolouring I decided to put the designs on some linen cushions to create a small capsule home collection.

After finishing those I knew I to play around with a repeat design so I took all of the elements & had the best fun playing around with them. I think about 2 hours passed & I had finally finished.

And then finally onto my last cushion.

I am printing on a new fabric, 100% linen in a natural colour. It's really great playing around with a new texture.  I am so happy with how they have work out & look forward to loading them into my shop.

Chalk board art that accidentally happened

OK, so I have created something without any real intentions. It's quite funny when things happen when they were never on the do to list. It's even better when they come out SO much better than you anticipated.

I have been admiring chalk board art for a long time now, especially watching you tube movies of it, & seeing the real thing happen before my eyes. It's remarkable.
I love watching incredibly talented artists, it inspires the heck out of me.
So with inspiration bubbling I had a play, but the digital way, so yep straight on the screen. Regardless it was such a fun way to work, I kind of didn't stop....for a while.
Before I knew it I created seven pieces just like that, & all pieces I would happily hang in my own home.

While creating, I also had mothers day in my head too. Making things that I would definitely give to mum, & pieces I know my girlfriends would also. Especially the seven essentials design.

So here they are, & they are all available in my shop.

I hope Monday is a magical day for you.

Working on lately

I am really trying to make an effort to actually sit & create something each week this year. Whether it be something I decide to sell or not it doesn't matter. It's about keeping some drawing momentum happening in my life. Last year I kind of lost that consistency when I was distracted with other things, except of course when I was doing my art courses where I was forced which was brilliant, yet challenging.

Out with the sketch pad I had mothers day in mind. Lots of flowers & special words. I like this pieces as it's so loose & unstructured.

Adding some colour.

And because I just can't help myself I had to create another colour way.

After I drew both of these I have to admit I had let them sit for a little while, feeling unsure what to do with them. Then the obvious choice came to me.

Heat bags.

Both designs are available in my shop here & are filled with divine organically dried lavender & rice.
Great at the moment as cold packs, place across you head& grab some zen time.

Easter 2014

It feels so early to talk about Easter today, yikes, I feel strange even bringing it up.
Should I or shouldn't I?

Every time I walk into the supermarket there seems to be more & more Easter eggs on the shelf, which means more hounding from the kids for me to buy some. Telling them to wait is becoming a challenge. They are still really young, so trying to explain that it's 2 months away, or 9 weeks away means absolutely nothing.  Easter this year is April 18th-21st.

I have created a couple of lovely items for the Easter season & wanted to first share my cushions with you. A lovely idea to combine with a delicious Easter egg, a prefect 1st Easter choice, or a great chocolate alternative.

As mentioned I have a couple of other things for Easter, one of them is a download which is so new for me. It's a lot of fun, & I am sure you will like it.

My lovers range

It's been a quick start to year, putting together a small collection for Valentines day.
It was a perfect way to start my year, the range was not too demanding size wise, & eased me back into working. It's been great having a break but time to get back to my 'normal life'.

My new 'Lovers Collection' is perfect for Valentine's Day, Weddings & Anniversaries. A gorgeous little keepsake to remember that special date in your life. They are approximately 30x30cm & in perfect colours of grey, white & red.

back of cushions

You will find the whole collection in my brand new Celebrations section of my shop. A whole area that is dedicated to celebrating special events in your life from Christenings to Weddings. It's still in it's infinite stages, but there with more designs coming.

What's new in cushions

Amongst the Christmas madness I have found some time to get a bit of drawing done. If I don't stop sometimes & make time to draw & create, I get incredibly frustrated. In a way it's my meditation!!

Here are some new designs I have just added to my web site.
Folky Bird  - A pretty bird inspired by the boldness of folk art. A personalised gift that will definitely be treasured.Gorgeous pinks, soft jade, purple & lemons this design will surely co-ordinate in every girls bedroom.
Monkey BusinessA personalised cushion with a little bit of super fun monkey business. A superhero monkey, a biking monkey & a skate board monkey. Great bold boys colours & a design so full of fun.

Miss Camping BunnyFor lovers of camping will be able to capture memories with this sweet design.
Say hello to Missy Bunny as she plays around her groovy chevron patterned tent, catching butterflies butterflies while the sun is shining brightly.

All designs are now loaded in my shop.

Just a reminder that cut off for international orders is 30th November & Australian orders December 10th to ensure they are posted in time for Christmas.

Some new designs to show

It is only a week before my kids head back to kinder & occasional care. Can you believe we are at the end of January already? My goodness 2013 how you have so quickly approached the second month of the year already?

Amongst my school holiday activity chaos, I am still drawing away here in every spare minute I have. I am nearly finished, and feel like I am reeeeeeeeally stretching myself, i have kind of hit the wall. At the beginning of every season I start with numerous ideas, more than I need and generally I lose interest in some half way through, & create even more new ones mid through. I am really looking forward to getting some of the new designs into lovely decor products.

I have a couple more new designs that I would like to share.

These 4 new designs are a result of a sudden bursts of inspiration teamed up with existing drawings I already had filed away. It was time to drag them out and update them. To  be honest I would be really surprised if you recognised them, if you do let me know.

A snippet of new designs coming soon

Here is a quick look at some of the other new designs I am working on that will be released over the course of February. I am VERY excited!!
I haven't confirmed everything as it's still possible some colour changes need to be made, and a tweak here and there, but it's nice to show something new on the horizon. Overall I am very happy so far.
When I create I do so, close it away for a couple of days and go back to it then. If I stare at what I do to much, I tend to get very over analytical, and fail to see any improvements that potentially could be made.

I hope you're having a lovely Sunday.

Bye for now xx

Something in progress, something new

My poor old blog has been suffering of late,
I have been so busy, with life, like everyone else.
My kids - one is teething, & never sleeping, & the other is toilet training.

Lots of orders & a few new stockists.
Setting up a new baby, Quirky and Quaint.

I have managed to still make time for my passion & completed this.
New design Birdcage Personalised cushion.

I am also in the midst of completing this design.
SWEET DREAMS
I wanted to create something a bit more organic & drawn directly on to the paper. I don't do it as often as I would like, I normally draw straight on to the computer just because it save time.
The main sketch is done, and scanned into the computer. Now the fun part, redrawing, cleaning it up, & the best part adding colour.

Stay tuned.
