True Blood Fan

Yes I have to admit I am a serious, serious, True Blood Fan.

I am waiting in anticipation for season 3 to be aired, it's on for memory channel 403 on Foxtel.

There are websites now with season 3 spoilers, but I just can't bring myself to take a sneak peak.

Some people think I am sick, & ask "How can you watch that crap?".

I guess it's my way of escaping for an hour and enjoying some fantasy.

I am not the only one, 2 friends of mine are also addicted so we all bounce of each

other when we catch up. Really I can't escape it......

If your a fan, one of them just emailed me a link to some fabulous illustrations from

some excerpts of the Sookie books but with the True Blood cast.

In case you didn't know there are 8 True Blood books, obviously from where the series has come from. I have actually just bought them, a Christmas present to myself & have about 15 pages until I finish the 3rd book. I have to say they books are completely different to the show, characters & story lines are sometimes nothing like each other.

So I guess now I get to have double the enjoyment. One thing I will be looking forward to when

True Blood Season 3 kicks off is my eye candy Eric Northman.

One day I will get to reading some grown up deep stuff...

WOW 5 Etsy Orders Overnight

Wow I logged on the computer today to have 5 Etsy orders overnight.

Maybe for some of you this is the norm, certainly not for me. It's either all or nothing whether it be Etsy, markets, or my other website. Since feeling much better after my horrendous morning sickness I have had to climb back up slowly. I missed the Christmas retail season which was a blow not just to my shop, but to me. I have been putting in the hard yards again so maybe it's starting to pick up again. WHO KNOWS????

I have some SUPER EXCITING NEWS!!!!

Very secretly I have been working on another business project with my cousin Kelly.......

We have started our very own market.

A little bit about our market...

Modish Creators Market is a new indoor handmade market, which will be held on a Saturday once a month. The market is located at the grand Malvern Town Hall, where many major Melbourne events are held throughout the year. This prime location will put stallholder’s and shopper’s minds at ease, making their shopping experience a pleasure come rain, hail or shine.

We have gone out of our way to make this a “Lifestyle Market” with plenty of variety. We aim to keep the product range at Modish Creators Market as diverse as possible, with minimal crossover of the same (or similar) types of goods. There will be a selection of Melbourne’s best independent handmade designers - over 60 designers actually - encompassing clothing, accessories, unique jewellery, gorgeous stationery, stunning decor, delicious decadent food and much more.

We are both very excited about this new venture, and feel extremely satisfied knowing that we are supporting the local handmade talent. Not every business can have a retail presence in a shop. A significant number of handcrafter’s run their businesses online, so this really is the perfect opportunity to create exposure in your own retail space for a day, attracting new customers to your online stores.

Modish Creators Market’s first official launch date is on Saturday 6th March 2010, and will be operating from 9am - 3pm.

I need to clear the rest of these women's clothes that I have left over sitting in my spare room.

For those reading for the first time, I used to have my own label & have ceased it now, and need to clear left over stock.

My husband has given me the word "Remove them or he may be tempted to burn them".

AArrrgghh a bit harsh, but certainly necessary.

Everything is made out of knitted jersey, excellent quality & all Australian made.

Nothing is over $5, which I know yes is crucifying, BUT better than still sitting here after May, when my second bubba will be here.

"Adele from deliciousdesignz is by far my favourite & BEST customer she has bought from me at least a half dozen times". I am sure she won't mind confirming this.

I think I may actually need to win the lottery as buying for girls will be financially crucifying. I mean there is sooooo much to buy.

With a new baby on the way it's time to change Hudson's room from baby to grown up toddler!!

That means new decorations, and on the hunt for a big boys bed.

I love the idea of wall decals as it isn't permanent, and I think will set the foundation to some kind of theme. I am looking for inspiration everywhere.

I am just loving the whole robot idea as in my eyes it's kind of an ageless theme and very cool.

Summer In The Park

What a beautiful sunny day today in Melbourne, a perfect 28'c.

Every Thursday (well the majority of them), I still meet with the girls I met in my mothers group.

I have been blessed to find 5 other women who are all fabulous & I am always happy to see. So today we met at the park, it's such a perfect way to get Hudson out in some sunshine with his friends, improve his motor skills, and most importantly tire him out so I get a chance to read some blogs, post a blog & get some new work posted into my Etsy Store.

Here are a couple shots of the morning.

Monster Time

Hudson loves comical looking monsters especially if it means he can growl GGRRRRRRR.

So I decided to make some Monster Inspired Iron On Transfers. Generously size and made of felt so no worries here about fraying.

Happy 2010!!

I had a great Christmas, it truly was memorable. Here is a family snap shot of the 3 of us, just before heading off to Daniel's families for lunch.

Like all of us I have new dreams and goals for 2010. I am trying to define them into achievable chunks as I type, well that's what the experts say.

I am having baby at end of May, & just loving that terrible morning sickness has past. I never want to experience that again. I have started going for a daily walk again which I have missed terribly, & now just love getting some energy back to doing everything.

I took a short break over the Christmas break, I didn't go away, as we went to Coffs Harbour in October, so it was just nice spending time catching up on some 'homey' things with Daniel. We did the IKEA trip & built us a new wall unit, along with buying other odds and ends I can't resist when walking buy those bargain bins. The wall unit was desperately needed for my rumpas room as Hudson needed his own play area, as toys are larger now, but we also needed some of our belongings up high out of little hands reach.

Otherwise pottering around was great without any time lines was really liberating.

But that's all over now, Daniel is back at work, I am back to getting some new stock made, ideas are starting to slow, and my website needs a tune up majorly.

Today it's back to just Hudson and I, a busy little man with lots of demanding needs, lots of playing, and lots of learning. He has just discovered Thomas the Tank, which he calls 'Toot Toot' so that is a big focus of his.

I think 2010 will be a fab year for everyone, and I truly wish the best for all of you and hope that you too achieve your 2010 goals.
